Default Wastegate size. Stock o2 location...

Ok... So here is a couple questions I need cleared up. Everytime i asked i get mixed responses...

Where should I put the stock o2 sensors? Mind you this is a LT1 with factory pcm!!!! Should they be on their respective side in the crossover (this i sa single turbo setup)??

And wastegate question. is bigger always better? If I am goign to run 6 psi on the stock motor for now and rebuild a tough motor during the winter to take 18 psi, what wastegate should i get?

My power goals are in the area of 700 at the wheels through a th350. So will a Tial 44mm gate be alright for this? And will the 44mm gate be that much better than the tial 38mm when i go for the big power?

I just don't want to buy parts twice. So whatever you guys can do to help. Thanks.

Can't help you with the O2 sensor but as far as the WG goes I would go with the 44mm for sure. It all really depends on your set up. The 44mm can control much higher HP than the 38mm unit. Also if you are going with a big turbo but only running 6 psi you will need the larger WG to be able to bleed off the excess pressure.

Well at first im using a dinky lil turbo. But as soon as I am a little futher along on my current loan im going to pick up a T76 GTS to support my 700hp goal next year (as im told 1000rwhp has been had with this turbo through a 6-speed).

But i just want to buy parts once. Then all I have to do when i have the new motor is up the boost.

Tial 44mm is plenty of wastegate...it will be fine for the T76 and will laugh a the turbo your putting on now.

I will be running the 42mm Racegate.

The T76GTS I believe has done a best of 950rwhp @ 24psi on a 355 LT1.

You could go with either the new 40mm or a 44mm. I would say buy your turbo first and then buy the other parts. If you need any help, give us a call and we'll help you weigh out the decisions.

Well i already have the small turbo. So the bigger turbo will be put on shorty after I have the setup built. Only issue I see with building the kit with it is making the bigger t76 GTS fit. So For now I need the dimensions to the larger turbo so I can build accordingly.

How much are those two wastegates? The 44mm is $330 from one site im looking at ordering it from.

I will give you guys a call later on today when im not busy working.
