Default Futral F9

Is anyone running the Futral F9 cam in a Forced Induction application?

They list it as a blower grind on their page and I wias wondering if anyone here has experience with it.

I have seen a few running the F7 with good success. I was just wondering about the bigger version. I know it might be crazy but I would like to have something with a more aggressive idle to go along with the sc whistle but not at the sacrifice of performance.

Also, what valve springs are you using with your F7? I currently have the 918's and know I will have to change them to get the F9 and was wondering about the F7

I had that cam in my 348ci for nitrous.. That Cam is a monster!!! I loved it. On the spray my 348ci made over 700rwhp. I was going to go SC'd, but I broke the motor.

So do you think i would be satisfied with it as a cam for my FI setup? How was the rpm range, good low end power? redline rpm?

Sound good, I was wondering how bottom end was as the Futral page lists the rpm range as 2800-7000 for the F9 and they list the F7 at 1800-6800. Kinda made me think it might be a little weak in low rpm torque

With the blower the bigger the cam the higher you'll have to rev it. When I had the F7 in my car at 6600 rpm the curve kept going up-if your bottom end isn't up to the task i can't see the need to go any bigger. Since your trying to run 10's I would tend to stick to a smalller cam. With the C5's if you don't want to launch at 6000 rpm and leave the drivetrain at the starting line-you need a came that comes on really quick this way don't have to launch very hard and the motor pulls into peak torque very quickly.
