Default HELP NEEDED!!!! Oil remote pump

I have seen some guys on here that have electric oil pumps on the return line from the turbo to the pan to help pull the oil out of the turbo and push it into the pan. sometimes used for guys with low mount turbos that dont have enough for gravity to take the oil out of the turbo. Whats the best one? Who stocks them?

Thanks guys!!!

Um, I got a mocal pump for my setup, seems to work okay, but getting the PCV setup correctly will make a difference with a scavenge pump, if you boost the crankcase, that pressure makes it difficult for the pump to function correctly in getting the oil back in the pan apparently.

I have a external wet sump pump on the preasure side going out, IE like a dry sump pump but where a dry sump pump uses and EXTERNAL oil tank to hold the oil, my setup uses the oil pan as the oil tank.

In the picture below you can see the oil pump off to the drivers side of the motor.. with the turbo mounted as low as it is I am having a problem with the return line filling up with oil and not draining into the pan.

Looks like it should be a perfect pump for this problem

Good question, they are slightly different in price but the descriptions are pretty much the same.

Do a search on Weldon or scavenge pump in this Forum and you will find the pump that you need. A lot of the Incon guys bought either Weldon or Puisi scavenge pumps to replace the failing Tilton pumps from their Incon setups. I am using the Weldon pump for scavenge, but not on an Incon kit anymore.

If memory serves it is the same pump that is used for the differential cooling system in the new Vettes.

The Tilton may be fine for your race-only app...but on a street car or semi-street I would spend the extra $$$ on the Weldon.

Awesome car BTW.

It is...it is the same one that I bought. I like the Weldon pump, although it has less then 20 miles on it, you can fit a -10 feed and -10 return on it...which helps if you need to move a lot of fluid. You can also adjust the pressure on it.

I think that I looked at GMpartsdirect and it was fairly cheap...but shipping was ridiculous.
