Any twin GT40 cars in the 7's? The GT55 is powered cars into the sevens. I believe the GT55 is rated for 1400hp or more.

The GT55s are rated at 1600HP but have made more than that on alky
on Duttweiler's Dyno. A two valve engine on gas will not make as much power though.

A twin GT-40 car should be able to sneak into the 7s if it is light enough.
You would probably need the 67MM Precision Upgrade.
Dave Bamford went 8.3s letting of with his 3500lbs GN. GT-40 67MM Units.
Obviously a lighter or big tire car could do it with ease.

Kyle these are GT-47s but I think they are 80s or 82s.

Ive always liked that car, since I saw the video a long time ago of it smoking the tires on the dyno. Its the main reason I started loving GN.

A standard PT91.5 would work fine.
I have spoken to several racers and vendors that have had this issue.
We were going to put one on a 272ci motor and were told to not even consider it. Why don't you talk to your boy Jose and get the information before you come on here and make your self look bad. BTW I would not even run GT-40s on a v-8. I will have twin GT42s on my Stage 2 Buick Motor. The car I work with went 7.9s with a stock suspension at 3450lbs last year, I guess your check book of knowledge owned me.

BTW I do really like your car, but you should not be judgmental towards someone that you don't know.
Yeah ask Jose. He and Jason got one of the first GT55's over a year ago. They pulled it apart and laughed when they saw the shaft and bearing structure. They told some of their DR customers that they would not survive under high pressure differentials. Alot of companies said they were full of it. Well what do you know several months later the same folks that criticized Jose and Jason were saying the same thing....lol. So becareful if you run a GT55 at high boost levels on a larger engine.

More importantly, if it's Dave's car... I'm sure he wouldn't really like to see all of the metro Detroit folks seeing its ET posted up on this site. Thtat's the kind of mistake that cuts into his recreation funds.

If I ever decide to run higher boost settings, can the internals be changed to prevent this?

Also, at what psi do you think i would be safe to?

Right now on race fuel i dont turn it up higher then 17.5 lbs, pump gas is 13.5 lbs.

I am utilizing a GT47-88 with my 8:1 347ci... But I hope to have enough room for a GT55/ 370ci combo if it ever makes sense to try to make even more power.

Isn't a 88/98 huge in comparison to a GT55/91?
