The 88/98 is not even in the same class. The GT55 will make alot less power and take alot less abuse then the 88/98 will. Its a true thumper with 5" wheel and large UTV bearings and shaft. The GT55 shares its internals with the GT47, that is why its fragile. More weight, same internals holding it together.

Tom Kempf has a 88/98 and based on the pics it looks a lot bigger than a GT47 or GT55 turbo, like twice as big. Not saying that the GT55 is better whatsoever, but why don't you post the outer dimensions of both. I think the GT47, GT55 is about the biggest you can get in our cars without radical construction.

A true thumper cover is about 13.5" tall and a GT55 is 12" tall.

How is that compared to the S88 i have now?? Will it bolt up the same??
What i really want to know id will it fit were mine is now later down the road..

What does it retail for $$ wise??

The S88 is smaller then the GT47/55 and thumper series. It uses the same flange and sam size DP though. The 55 and Thumper's are more $$$.

apparently you built this thing for street/road racing... hence your suspension parts... how do you like them? how does it handle? im deciding almost the same suspension

Handling honestly isnt really that great. Its a 4k lb turd that just likes going really fast in one direction

I do have pretty much mostly everything you would need suspension wise, but because most of the weight is on the front of the car it just doesnt feel quite as nimble as it used to.

Not only that, but when you get into full boost, trying to swirve one way or another can be very challenging to not loose control and it spins the tires going strait up to 80-85, let alone trying to weave...

My suggestion, if you want a car to handle well, dont get an iron block and a 73 lb turbo

My stereo stuff does weigh it down too, so that has a factor in it as well.
