Default ~Twin Rear Mount~

Has anyone tried to do a rear mount twin set up? I figured If you had true duals with each pipe going into its own turbo with them set up just like the STS ones but side by side, would it work?

To be honest im looking for a setup that can AWESOME number while keeping the A/C.

I guess it's feasible but you'd have to be very creative with packagine both the true duals and the charge pipe(s) running back up to the motor. Sts gets really good numbers on their vette kit which is twin turbo.

well all your doing is adding an extra pipe going to the opposite side of the intercooler the sts kit already has one and its running on the left side, just add another on the right. Right?

The problem is there's only so much space to run the piping over the axle. on the sts, the exhaust goes over the axle on the pass. side and the charge pipe goes back over on the drivers. I'm sure there's a way to do it but you're probably going to end up having your charge pipes run pretty close to the exhaust piping. It looks like the vette exhaust gets tucked into the center tunnel with the charge pipes running down the sides of the car. I'm not saying it's impossible to do just gonna be a chore figuring out how to route all the tubing and turbos in the space available.

Damn GM for this undercarriage design! LOL! what if you used a Y pipe comming off the headers and splitting them after the axel then running the turbo pipes under the axel like true duals?

A guy on this board already designed a dual rear mount system. Search his screen name, which is Jammer. He also sold the system for what appeared to be a great price.

its gonna be custom..and if you aren't doing the work yourself..REALLY EXPENSIVE. you can run true duals over the one side of the axle and run it into two turbos, the have their outputs merged into the one pipe going up front. Only benefit would be teh sound of actually have true duals, because above that, you probably have more lag sicne less exhaust is being used to spin each turbo...not to mention cost.

Hi all...Sold the kit for less than a new STS kit (turned out 1 turbo was bad) .... 60 days ago. Man , I loved that kit. I actually deleted most of my pics... kinda like ditching a girl in High School.... best to just forget and move on. In this case, the bitch will always be in my heart. On a good note perhaps, I beleive the new owner changed projects and may be selling it. Spool came "a lil" late, but it was a 10 second car at 1 bar.

I change set ups every winter... I like to try new things... and I only drive the car about 20 times a year. I sold that mid year, in favor of getting another type of kit to run for August, Sept, Oct of this year (normally would have had it sold last winter, but I didnt have hardly any time on it due to the car spending 3 months at a tuner... my mistake on letting that happen). Just ran late on the mid summer swap.
