Default Help Me Choose A Turbo

Ok heres the deal, I have a phamspeed tubular kit with a t4 flange. Right now I have stock cubes untill I get my 408, what size turbo should i get for my upcoming 408 remember it's a t4 flange. I was thinking of the pt88 but the exhaust housing seems small for a 408 especially with a t4 flange. How will this turbo perform on the stock ls1 and the 408 as in spool time, backpressure, peak power, & torque?

I'd either wait for the 408 or run something smaller like a Turbonetics 62-1 on stock cubes and sell it/trade it for pt88 later on

Psj is going to be running an 88 on his 346.... I think thats alot of turbo for that motor... using a t4.. arent you going to be running alot of backpressure?

What size A/R are you going to be running? for a stock 346... run a 70 for now.. its a perfect street turbo... since you're on a stock motor i wouldnt push it..

For the 408 it will be alot of backpressure I think. The specs on the exhaust housing are T4/.96A/R, I think this turbo will do better on the 346...What do you think?

Good a/r for the turbo.... but on a stock bottom end.. NO way.. turbo is way to big.. it will take a while to spool that bad boy up.. I suggest down sizing turbo

For a 408ci, you will need a big turbo. Hook up with someone like W2W, Stenod, Speed Inc., to spec that combo out.

If you want to know which turbo to use.....speak to Jose. Alot of the big tuners call him for what to use. I don't think a 408 and PT88 is a bad idea....of course it just depends on the goals.

That Turbo will be fine for a 408. Look at PurEvl's setup. Easy 800hp/790tq ,very safe on just 93 octain pump gas all year
