Do you want it to run on 87 octane too? Your goals might be out of reach.

This is probably a dumb question, but on that other kit, do the prices include the motor work?

Are you guys running these kits on iron or aluminum gm blocks? How far have you pushed the aluminum blocks without problems?

I've seen 1k HP from an aluminum block. Anything more i wouls think you would want Billet Main caps, and a girdle to minimize any potential deflection.

Iron 6.0 GM block, 370 or 402 motors, havn't found the power limit for them yet

IMO LS1/6 block is ok to 750rwhp.

Have you EVER seen an aluminum block fail? Not due to tuning or anykind of detonation just from the forces of power. Answer probibly no.

He didn't say all aluminum blocks. He only gave two examples, the ls1 and ls6 blocks.

IIRC, one aluminum blocked LS1 few years ago with a midframe 88, big power setup eventually had the block crack, distorting?

Iron blocks assembled with off the shelf forged parts even with OE crankshafts have taken everything the shop has thrown at them; good assembly? ridgid iron block? combination of the two?
