Default Tracking down exhaust leaks

I bought a TTi kit here about two months ago and have finished installing it and got it fired up and I am 100% convinced I have a pre-turbo exhaust leak. It seems to be coming from the drivers side and as a result the turbo doesn't seem to be making any boost (like a wastegate stuck open). Anyways, my eventual point is does anyone have experience with these kits and possible places they leak? I'd really like to know since it will make all the difference in the world.. AFR says it's running very rich too, another sign that there is no boost. Tips where to start would be nice as well as alternatives for the "tick". Thanks!

What do you mean seafoam it? Is that an additive you throw in somewhere?

ah good idea, seafoam, look for the black exhaust. Thanks. I really want to know why it's not boosting though, if the exhaust leak search fails, any alternatives?

engine-clean-all. Cleans fuel systems, oil, and the top end of engines. What was your fix or have you fixed it yet?

could a boost leak on the intake pipe result in an overall lack of boost throughout the system that would cause the gauge to read almost nothing?

initially yes, but I figured it was just cause there was no load. Driving around on the street is the same thing, though I haven't really stepped into it, only 3000 RPMs or so. I can hear the turbo very audibly, it just doesn't seem to be boosting. Also a noticeable lack of power as a result.

Mine did the same damn thing. Ran rich as hell, which I attributed to computer tuning, both widebands read 9.9-1 while driving. Also, even stomping on it gave only a lb or so boost, but still managed to blow out dipstick... weird. I'm also interested in this one.

The computer isnt stock tune, I had a baseline put on to account for boosted fuel/timing curves. I'm going to disconnect the bypass valve and rule it out first. I need to invest in an LC-1, I'm just running a crap gauge off an O2 sensor

I use a leakdown tester connected to the tailpipe to check for exhaust leaks.

Weld a hose barb to a capped off pipe of the same diameter as the tip and connect it to the exhaust with a piece of silicone tubing. Then put some air pressure in the system and you can find any leaks without burning the hell out of yourself.

well I double checked the bypass valve to make sure that wasn't the problem, as well as the coupling hoses for the intake. I seriously DOUBT its the gauge being bad but who knows. I'm pissed that this damned car isn't making ANY boost at all and there is no reason for it to do what its doing

Anyone else have any ideas? This is really frustrating and I don't have the time to **** around with this any more. I need legitimate solutions. Here's the problem: ZERO boost. I can hear the turbo spooling but it doesn't seem to audibly spool until about 2500 RPM. The only possible source for an exhaust leak I can see is on the passenger side where the gasket might not be completely sealing with the crossover pipe, but I have no way to test this. There is oil getting to the turbo bearings (as the prescence of oil is clear in both the inlet and return lines. I am running a deltagate and I've heard these things aren't exactly quality could it be the problem? The bypass valve isn't the problem since it was running the same even when I disconnected it (just to make sure it wasn't hooked up wrong) and it's NOT stuck open. Two of us have this problem, I'm sure others have experienced it as well. What's going on with our cars???
