First off, congrats to your stock bottom end. And is that a stock rear?

Maybe we could get Rick to explain how best to interpret Dynapack results with Dynojet and Mustang dyno data...

I have a 4.10 and 4.25 pully that I can sell you. Both are six rib and both have less than 3,000 miles on them. A new pulley from ATI is going to cost you $90. PM me if you want to make a deal. Good numbers by the way.

Yup, stock rear too, we'll see how long it holds up. And I went with the 3.85 because thats what it came with when I bought it used. I was actually using the stock ATI crank pulley and was afraid I wouldn't make enough boost so I opted for the larger MMS just before tuning. Oops . PM comin at cha Prey

with a d1, 490 is plenty possible. if you guys still doubt his numbers maybe he can run it at the track and tell us his times, that will verify the numbers.

Why does every one say take it to the track to verify numbers. My track varies 4mph at least from summer to winter. Plus you have DA to consider. My car with 405rwhp ran 11.30's@123.5. But that was with a -1800 DA. The next week out the DA was -800 and the car ran a tenth or so slower and 1+ mph slower. Did the car loose any power? Do you think a guy in Colorado at 5,000ft is going to run that time? I don't think so. I would say the SAE dyno numbers are the best way to compare two cars or combos. Unless both cars are at the same track on the same day. Just my 02.

track times dont lie and yes d/a plays a part but it shows how much power your car is really making.

I can agree that it shows what that car is making on that day at that elevation and DA. It also shows how the car is set up. I don't think it is a direct reflection of how much power the car is actually making at the tires compared to other internet cars. Just my opinion. I understand your point of view as well.

Starting to toss around the idea of keeping the 3.85 pulley or even going smaller and adding a boost restrictor plate. Is anyone using this in their F-bods? I know vettes use them but I've never read about an F-bod using one.

Drewstein I hope I am wrong since I will be installing my D1SC around christmas

I don't doubt that a stock LS1 with headers with 8-10lbs can make 500RWHP but at 5100 I thought that was a little far fetched maybe at 6200 since boost would climb with RPM.
I hope I am wrong since mine will be back with a 383, Ported AFR heads and I will be spinning it to 60571 out of the availabe 62000.

I think youre getting a little mixed up about how it all works.

10psi @ 6200 is gonna equal lets say 540rwhp, with the pulley to supply that amount of boost @ 6200 is gonna produce... lets say.. 6psi @ 5100, which will be significantly less then 10psi @ 5100. Follow?

Soooooooo.. if you have a tiny pully installed and with that pully youre making a full 10psi @ ONLY 5100 your output at 5100 is gonna be a lot more then the scenario above, still following? If they would have completed that pull with that 3.85 pulley, making 10psi @ 5100, well.. they probably would have shot rods out the bottom of the motor because it would have been a LOT of boost at 6200.

See what I mean? So making a full 10psi @ 5100 and putting down 490rwhp is totally believable.

490 @ 10 pounds is believable beinggs that is theeee nastiestistest boosted dynojet pull I have ever saw I would be looking into rowing back just a LITTLE timing if I was U

Avengeance, your right I was looking at that in a totally different view, lol.
For some reason I wasn't even taken into account 10lbs at 5100, your right if he reved it to 6200 it would have messed the motor up since it would have made crazy boost opposed to 5100.

When I initially looked at I was looking at it like a retard

Would you care to elaborate on why that is a nasty looking pull?(Im reading that with nasty as negative term). Also, is a Dynapack a dynojet, I never asked for clarification on that, nor do I know if it even really matters.
