Default Pukes

So i took my car to the strip tonight and was very dissapointed. The temp was about 55. (cool for alabama). Thinking that i would have some really desent times seeing that i just put a smaller pulley on the charger to get 9lbs of boost. (up from 7lbs). I have 2 little problems. I used the t-brake on alot of runs and when i take off the car hooks up very well and right when it comes down (about 40ft) the car will stall out real bad and all the gauges will come on. Like it is loosing 12volt power. And on top of that after all that happens the car will start busting up really bad about half to 3/4 down the track when the dipstick comes popping out the tube. This is the first time it has came out half way down the track, it use to pop out on take off. Does anyone have any sudgestions of what the hell is going on?

You need a catch can setup. I ran mine from the ls6 valley cover and one valve cover to catch can, then to a clear gas filter, then to the inlet hats 3/8 fitting. No pvc no ck valve. It works perfect. Did you tune the car after the pulley change? If not I would not beat it till you do, also pressurizing the crankcase with blowby is going to blow a seal. Do the catchcan setup. You will be glad you did.

The electric problem almost sounds like either the belt slipping or alternator running out of 'umph'

Is the battery good? Maybe need a new belt and tensioner?

Where exactly is that? So what you are saying is to run a vent from both valve covers to a catch can then to a clear gas filter then to what? Do you have any pics i am a little confused on the whole setup?

A catch can. What does that consist of? Never seen one.

You don't have to use the gas filter, you can use a oil/water separator from home depot or even nothing but the catch can. Either way then to the inlet hat where the air filter accordian hose attaches. The inlet of the blower has a blk plastic hat, with a 3/8 male hose attachment on it, go there.

Go to AMW, on the sponsors list. Its the most expensive but the best design. There was a guy on here if you search, that had a much cheaper one that was really designed and made well too. Pretty much the same design but much cheaper. The good ones have a media to cause fallout of oil and water vapor.

I would have the alternator checked out, as possibly under load it is not keeping up. Check and clean the battery grounds and well as the positive cable as well. Bob
