Yeah I really think that track needs to move to concrete walls. That car woulda probably rubbed the wall and came to a stop instead of the guardrail bending under the car causing it to fly like that. Killed the car and coulda killed the driver. Goes to show how important it is to have a good and updated cage in the car! As I've heard it isn't the first time similar things have happened at that track. With such quick cars running maybe they will consider upgrading it soon.

Overall looks like an awesome event to be able to watch, pretty awesome cars!
They deffinately need to add another row or put up something different. The cars are going so fast when they hit it. It just lays over and becomes a ramp.
This guy is lucky the same thing didn't happen to him.Radial tire car crash

Congrats to Major. Make us Gen 3 powered cars proud.

**** 8.41 was the bump. The plan is to have both at Orlando and Bradenton next season.

No **** really? How long ago did you move? I usually used to drive the White WS6. I put on 45k miles in no time. I drove it everywhere. Started to notice rock chips and other stuff from normal driving so I stopped really driving it much at all this year. Been mostly cruising my 94 Formula. But I drive them all around at some point.

Where in Hazlet did you used to live? Car you used to drive?

And to stay somewhat on topic. I'm hearing that the NHRA is forcing everyone to run Concrete by 2007 season. Don't know how much truth to that there is but sounds reasonable.

Nice to see our local guy Peter Champani in the top 5 of drag radial. He's a really good guy. He got burned pretty bad when his car caught on fire due to a crash, I believe it might be even at the same track he's at now.

That car could've killed 20 people if it would have went into the stands.

Kurt told me awhile ago that it would be unwise to race at tracks with metal guardrails.

They make a nice ramp when folded over and the dirt that blows under them onto the track doesn't help traction.

I agree Pete is a nice guy. He builds his own motors and does all his own tuning to. It's good to see him doing as well as he is considering he is up against alot of big money cars.
He got burnt at Badenton.

I grew up near Raritan Valley and went to Raritan HS. I graduated in 90. Back then I used to drive a real 1970 Chevelle SS396. I been in Florida since 90.

Hopefully the track will have concrete walls. those rails did fall over kinda too easily.

In addition they weren't prepping the track as much this year. That might keep some racers from coming next year , dont know.

the owner is a jack off I can tell ya that.

another update, major spray got taken out. for some reason he had some problem and didnt et as well. Some Camaro took him out. There is a Mustang now running 7.60s in drag radial that is the top dawg now.

They're running finals now for each class. just talked to Caveman, hes still out there.

it was even more dangerous at a local track here because people would stand right behind the cars and places where they just should never be... o and the track is narrower than it shouldve been too. so u can imagine how nerve racking it could be for the ops cars that ran there

That is Fast Eddie from our neck of the woods (Toronto)

Wade and the guys from autoworx built that car, I have seen it up close and in person a bunch of times. He owned that car since he was young (15 I think)

Car ran ~160-170mph in the 1/8th and they were just dialing it in!

Sad to see it go
