Hot part clearance

Hot part clearance How much clearance do I need between my hot parts and painted parts on my engine bay? How about plastic parts, like my power steering resevoir? I was planning on ceramic coating them but I'm not sure how much that will really help.

Wow, so about 3/8" away from painted steel and plastic parts? I'm a little close to my power steering resevoir... I don't want to look like an a$$ and melt a whole in it.

I should have taken some pictures...
I have a set of C6 LS2 Covette manifolds flipped upside down, dumping up and slightly forward. I am using a 90 degree bend and some straight pipe to come around the engine in front of the F-body accessories. My driver's side pipe gets close to the power steering reservoir.
I am going to use a ceramic coating, just not sure if that will be enough?

i have my hot parts coated and in a couple places they are VERY close to painted parts on my car and no problems, i would say wrap would do as good if not better also (but remember wrap will add to the overall diameter)
