c5+forced induction questions.
I'm looking at eventually possibly picking up a 00/01 C5 coupe after recently selling my supra but have some questions.
I had a 00 heads/cam LS1 f-body and in all reality, its not the performance level i wanted so i want to get more out of a C5.
with a blower and STOCK motor (all boltons) what kind of power are people seeing? 1/4 and trap speeds? what about longetivy and problems?
what about heads/mild cam and a blower? at what level are the motors failing? is a mile stock block/crank/forged pistons build good enough to hold 700-800 rwhp on pump gas?
how would throwing a forged piston iron block into the car affect it?
I would like to eventually get to 600-700 rwhp on pump gas running rich enough to hold to the top of 5th ( around 200mph) with out blowing up.
What about turbo options? how do the turbo kits compare to blower kits in price?
What are your thoughts?
and for a turbo, this one. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=26
