Info for Procharger
I am pricing out various places (in Canada) for a Procharger. Is a valvetrain upgrade recommend? Places I am talking with are saying the D-1SC is not necessary for a stock engine. I quote "may be a challenge to spin it below 10 psi, this is a bit of a gamble with a stock engine"
So I am thinking the P-1SC might be right for me. They did say they would put in 60 LB inj. as well as a big intank pump (the in-line one is too loud and buzzy).
Thx for any info...I have been reading lots, but you can never have enough knowledge.

The ATI ProCharger D-1SC pn# 1GJ204-SCI kit works very well with stock LS1 engines. We install the D-1SC kit on many basically stock LS1 engines, and the 1GJ204-SCI comes with the larger 4.5" intercoolers, and will run cooler than the P-1SC. At any given psi, the D-1SC does not have to be spun as fast, so a larger pulley can be used on the blower, which give it better belt wrap. The 1GJ204-SCI is also an eight rib assembly, which eliminates belt slippage problems that can occur with the six rib units.
I have put together a complete kit that will save you a lot of money.

Hi Bob,
Thx for the reply. My only problem is I am in Canada, and I get screwed at the border for duty/brokerage.
I see the $6120 included the "tune". I already have the LS1 Edit...and will have it re-tuned here. Is there a savings if I get this kit without the "tune"?
Thx

No savings to have my kit without a tune, the price is already as low as I can take it. Thanks for inquiring. Bob

PM tjwong or TwoFast4Lv. They are both knowledgeable guys in western WA that can install the blower & tune it for you. I'm sure Bob can work with either as they both have shops. TJ even has a Mustang Dyno, but he is down in Vancouver WA. TwoFast is east of Everett - he helps me tune my car.
My D is just a little louder than my P was. But the increased power will make you forget about that. Nice thing about the D is you'll have room to grow in the future. Bob's kit looks like it comes with everything you'll need. And he's a GREAT guy to have around if you run into issues.
I assume Bob can offer you a choice of pulley sizes. On a stock motor, I would want to choose a pair that keeps my red line below 6k. You can still make a ton of power & not torture your motor. Have fun....
