I am hoping this not be a issue for me. But he did say the down pipe might need modding.

Contact between headers and downpipe shouldnt be an issue. They are all physically bolted together solid anyway via the turbocharger. The only motion would be due to expansion and contraction of the pipework.

Ive built systems before, and actually bracketed the downpipe to the headers, for rigidity.

Wheel well wall is a diff matter if its close.......

is it normal for there to be weld built up on the inside, or carbon crystallization type of stuff? Doesn't that stuff eventually break off and get sucked into the turbo?

also there is some high and low points on the ends of the flanges so it might not seal to well? or will it be ok?

Yes I am usually closed on mondays so I can hang out with the wife. That is her only day off besides sundays same goes for me also. We both work tues threw saturdy. I am have been at work the past couple of monday before the holidays though getting stuff caught up. Its just nice to be able and hang out with the person who is supporting us at the moment

Turbogoat you can pm me about any questions you have about the kit. I just got your other one today. The welds that your looking at are them of a tig weld. When you tig weld you have penitration threw the metal to get a good weld. The stuff that you see is like the underside of a stich on clothing...not pretty thats why its on the inside. I dont grind that stuff off. I dont and never will grind on a weld where 2 pipes are joining together. Even if its a big mess. You will run the chance of loosing the integrity of the weld. I rather it not look so good then fall apart. You also have to remeber that every piece of the kit is hand made. Meaning that DP with all those bends in it. I cut indiviually and make them fit. Its up to the customer if they want to grind down the welds on the inside of the pipes.

I sent your stuff out today TINkRD when I was out with the wife. Will give you a tracking number tuesday.

I think you guys are being a little skeptical because there are only a very few companies that make the kit.

if you don't think the flange is flat, find something perfectly flat, take a piece of really fine sand paper lay sand paper down on flat surface and rub the flange across it. You will be able to see high and low spots. Should be able to lightly sand until you are satisfied. When welding it can distort a little becasue of the heat. No biggy Looks very good Joel.

Turn your heat down a little Joel and you will not have excessive penetration on the root. No I am not being a smart *** I do weld inspection for a living

Also grinding the welds down is not going to lose its integrity in less your not making full pen welds and from what i see they are,

As soon as I get my kit in I am taking a tiger disk to all outside welds to smooth them out and remove any undercut that might be there

Also taking sanding wheels to all welds that have excessive penetration on the ID to improve flow factors.

Joel is my stuff still going out on friday like we agreed?

O and turbo goat about the headers not being flat. With stainless there is always a draw when it gets heated or if it gets heated to long. I have gotten headers in the pasted thats where not flat but its a common thing and will seal.
