turbo on a sbc question??
thanks you could always just try it! if you cook the block then you can always upgrade to a aftermarket one or find a 4 bolt one

I'd use the 2 bolt block, with the splayed cap mod, and use bigger/longer dowels to help keep them still..

"I think it may be severe crank distortion and cap walk chewing on the main bearings a bit. . . . I pulled the pan and looked at #2 and #3 mains. They are down to the copper . . . The crank is smooth but the main bolts were kind of loose and the caps were walking around quite a bit and fretted the block a fair amount . . . Only the cap walk tells the story."
I wouldn't really call this "holding up to the power."
