Granted I know you would have to up fuel system/internals/drive train/etc to reliably run more boost than the standard sts system, but just an idea.
No real cutting or hacking. Basically just swapping many parts for better ones, and much of it was related to the front mount intercooler that came as an option. The oil return from the pump into the right valvecover is a bad idea. It leaks oil under boost, and the top end of these engines already have too much oil in them, they don't need more. I don't like the idea of just poking a hole into the oil pan and threading in a pipe fitting, so we removed the pan and welded in a bulkhead fitting. Bob

Scott, I rode in your car yesterday after we finished it up. That thing is an animal on high boost, you'll like it. I want to see some track numbers!! As for the lag, it's pretty much non-existent. You may have a little more lag if it were a 76mm, but it really could make better use of it. Boost start dropping off at about 5k. You would see more power up top like Jake said. Food for thought.

It was tuned on 93 octane. The rims are Weld Pro-Stars. 10x15 rear and I believe 4x15 fronts.

Scott should be able to answer that for you. I know Scott told me if he had to do it over again he would of gone with Bogarts, as there is no caliper grinding with the Bogarts. Bob

Hey Big Bad Black SS, the rimes on the back are 15-10 with 7.5" backspacing, with MT ET street radials 325-15/50. The fronts are 3.5-15 with MT sportsmans 26-7.5/15LT. I went with the "8 ply" front tires, because all others are "not" rated for the weight of our cars. I hope that helps. If you do a search i did a thread on what all i had to do, to get these to fit.

Yes they do, Joe. It is expensive, but we see it necessary after 600 rwhp. Bob

Its got the slp long tubes on it. It is wrapped from the collector back until the flange for the turbo. We did not see it necessary to wrap the primary's of the headers due to them being ceramic coated.

Hey Longrange4U, I still have my SLP LT's. As Jake said the exhaust is wrapped fron the collectors back. After the guys @ EPP changed around and replaced things on my set up, this thing is a beast! With my Vigilante the power comes on like a shot of NOS. On low boost 6.8lbs, my torque is 506lbs @ 3350rpm and @ 4000rpm its 633lbs. On high boost 13.5 the torque hits 637lbs @ 4250rpm and at 5000rpm its @ 705lbs. Zero lag and instantaneous wow-baby!!

I agree with having to mod the origonal design. The turbo and pipe into the intake is about all that's origonal on mine

I am impressed with your oil retun into the pan idea (like a Vortech). Do you have any pics...to see location, how the bulkhead is positioned, etc? I'd be interested in doing that little mod myself.
