for comparison my PTE88 makes 12psi around 4200rpm with 347 cubes and 8.9:1 CR, and keeps telling me it need more boost, alot more boost.

Yeah i cant wait for March. The new rearend will be here this week. My chute will be going on after X-mas and ill be ready to go for my 8 sec pass on Drag Radials..... Thats the goal for next YR.
I hear ya on them wanting boost..... i turned mine down to 10 psi from 17 and it hits it so fast and so hard it makes me want to turn it back up..... I really want to see what this turbo will do at boost levels above 20psi....

the more I hear from you guys hte more I know that Jose pointed me out torwards the right direction(again). after all, I have never onwed a car with 700 or 800rwhp, so what do I know right? thanks for all the inputs, as soon as I get this turbo and elbow thing handled I start a post with my progress on the Hiflo stuff, should have it running soon.

Thats awsome...... i know my setup was faster then it ran at 20 psi also..... we were out of gear 150ft out....... its going to be a fun YR for sure...

not urs ......yet ...
but in all honesty.... i see thread all the time about cars with way more power than me that just dont perform...like i would think... (based on traps)...whether its traction or not...
i know, for example, ur (Na$ty TA) s88 setup has way more potential power wise than mine... thats a no-brainer, its a VERY nice clean setup. is see ur trapping 153. obviously impressive.
now...i just want to show what the 76gts, (AT LEAST ON THIS PARTICULAR SETUP) is capable of. i dont want to sound like a ricer, and ive said these before, but they are very good excuses/setbacks. when i went to the track.... i was on BFGs that were just about showing chords. i had the cutout broken shut, so spool time was much slower than when open, and i would leak off at least 3psi before shifting. way before the traps i had 4th gear pegged on the limiter........ the car is on a safe tune still, and had low 10's AFR........ i was limited to 141.5...but i KNOW i had at least a 145-146 in her that DAY, had i had enough gear..... now i just need to attack everything onthe car over winter, and see what she can do... keep in mind, this is 3900+lb street car with minimal suspension, and a M6..... i have enough traction issues as it is.....
all excuses aside, this turbo works VERY well with this setup. im sure a pt88 would work very well too....but imo, bigger and better looking dyno graphs dont always equal performance. part throttle and spool time are great.... im not trying to put myself on the pedistal....just trying to help the hi-flo guys make their decisions.
i dont think the car will have an issue seeing 150 with this turbo..... right now, the car holds 15psi strong to redline....and beyond.. i have not tried a higher boost yet, cuz i dont see the point in putting that stress on the engine. (i got 366ci ftr). i know NASTY TA was saying his 76mm was maxed out at 14psi or so on his setup.. i guess they are different for different setups... (he has a 370ci fwiw)
in a nutshell, i would say no smaller than a 76gts, and no larger than a pt88
hope this info helps...

He said its crucial for you to have quick boost response coming out of an apex and tail end throttle control, which I would have to agree. If your racing on curves you need quick response since some of the steering is done with your right foot. Also he didn't tell you the TC76 since its not as powerful and the GTS is going to be the better unit to reach your power goal #'s, and still keep the setup responsive. The TC76 I would would say is a nice 650-700rwhp turbo on pump with 750 on pump out of a 76GTS being more likely. On race fuel, both will make stupid power. Also I personally wouldn't run 750rwhp on pump gas, to much can go wrong one time and boom, another new piston or headgasket is needed.
Wonder why he didnt offer the T-netic T76-MPT turbo. He said the supposed to have the same power as the GTS, but spool faster.

Their is so much the decisions are based on, who knows. Their is a reason why though he went that route.

i was told to buy the s80, since i have the same power goals as yours. but im 403 LS2.. i would have loved to run the 76, but in the long run the 80 will be ideal for my goals..
