The tc76 will do better for what you want.It is a smaller unit that will spool faster. It wont make as much as a 76mm GT-42 but for 600-800 goals the tc76 will be great

Pretty sure you have the numbers backwards. The GT42 is offered in 3 compressor wheels... 70mm, 74mm and 76mm. I would go wit the standard T4 TC76 turbo... will easily make your modest hp levels and be easy to package in the engine back. The GT42 is a monster sizewise.

Yes I agree, the GT42 is large in size compared to a TC unit. Also the spool up of the TC units will be much better, plus the polished cover looks "mad tight yo" .....lol

I had both, the TC76 REALLY spools a lot faster than the GT42(74mm) that I had on the car. I have no power or ET results with the TC76 because I can't get the car to make more than 9psi with it....still trying to find out why that is

I SURE WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME RESULTS FROM ANYWHERE in the universe with the TC76 bolted up to a 346-350CI LS1 or LT1. **** I'd even like to see some numbers on any other platform now that i'm thinking of it. Google turns up very lil when type in TC76.

a T67 will even get you 600 rwhp... there are members on the board making that.

I have goals of 800 at the wheels with a new motor... so I opted for the Tc76MPS.

Do you have a manuel or eletronic boost controler??? If a manuel I think that could be your problem? The electric controls the wastegate alot better/controlled. When I upgraded my heads an turbo (tc) I had the same problem. Once I switched over to electronic boost controler I had no problems sitching psi levels..
