T76 Q-trim with a .96a/r

WOULD this get me in the 9's

Andreww its a 98 F body . I found this turbo for a good deal but however I think it maybe to small. What are your thoughts?

Jason,

If you assume a race weight of 3500 pounds, your going to need about 650hp at the crank to break into the 9s, assuming a very well tuned chassis. I think a t76 is capable of that given a properly designed system. Just my 2 cents. I am sore guys will more experience can be even more helpful.

im going to say its too small for those cubes. Kyle had trouble with his 76 on a 370. I say check out an 88mm for that 402.

this is not for a 402, stock cube LS1

I had planned of doing a 76 GTS but I foud this q trim and was wondering. I am not up on all the turbo sizes and letters that go with them

The T76Q will probably barely squeek into the 9's if everything else works well. The difference between the Q and the S is that the S will barely squeek into the 8's.

The old Q-trims aren't very efficient on engines like the LS1's, but you may could get there.

I'd bet with an auto and a stock cube LS1 you could go 9.40's at 3500 pounds with a 76 Q-trim.
