Default Vortech guys inside

I am trying to find out what the most Hp/tq you can get out of a Vortech G-trim? lets say you had a forged 402 and methanol injection. I know the little G-trim is a smaller blower (800cfm) Do you think that you could make 700rwhp with it? I am considering a new setup and it would be nice if I didnt have to shell out 3k for another a T-trim or YSi

I'm not a Vortech guy, but consider 1.5 CFM per FWHP a rule of thumb. 800 cfm max would be good for maybe 525-550 at the flywheel, max.

If you want 700rwhp you should get a YSi.

I agree, I think that you're going to run out of steam with that little blower... JMHO

If you want 700 rwhp get a T trim or a YSI. G trim is not going to be enuff.

wow your far off. i'm pushing 525 at the wheels and I'm a damn automatic..

Like others said, T trim or YSi. Either blower will work the rest of the G trim's kit.

Why I agree with the fact that the G-trim will not be good enough for a 402, and or 700rwhp I did make 601rwhp with the G-trim I believe Vortech under rates some of there blowers. Another member made 628rwhp with a H/C346 and a G-trim. Go with a t-trim or a YSI. I would use a YSi if I had my choice in your shoes.

I'd say 600rwhp at most, on a forgiving dyno through an M6. Although Vortech only rates it for 575-600fwhp.

Yeah well when I purchased mine they were rated at 525fwhp first time at the dyno I made 575rwhp stock bottom end with H/C runnning out of fuel. Like I said the rating they have is conservative for the G-trim it just will not feed a larger motor. 628 is the highest G-trim I know if and then me with 601 so I didn't think it was too hard though.

My T trim fits perfect.(On my WS6) The bracket is made by RMCR. But you also need a custom spacer made also for your tensioner and some other over the counter items Who knows I might know where to get one or two made but there not tested yet. Im at 627 rwhp sae corrected. 12 psi with a 2.95 pulley forged 347 and 6.0 l heads on MLS gakets. I have the 2.75 pulley but I am waiting for my new engine should make 700 + easily Just not sure if I am going to keep this setup or just wait for my twins to be built and use this kit in the mean time. I did make 650 595 when I had my 6 speed and that was thru the 9" and 95 degrees outside lol.
This pic sucks but you can see it at least.

Its not pink its the camera

Its iced over here bro We are thawing out today but I dont think Ill be racing anytime soon. I tired to get a 9 two weeks ago and left it in second and lauched it and ran a 10.80@130 LOL Dam manual valve body Its coming, Im just working on my suspension to get it. I would have to sell the kit as a whole bro. I got rid of the other two g trim kits I had.
