Default Intercooler Fans

I have came across a pair of these on some website i was looking at. Does anyone have fans mounted on there intercooled supercharger? What do you guys think? Does it help? Has anyone actually tried this out on a dyno to see if some fans will cool it down enough to give you more hp?

I have not tried it and won't. I would do meth for a good cooling effect.

I've seen a few guys on here that use them for "undermount?" intercoolers or by guys that don't want to cut up their front bumper...the part you actually see that is.
If you don't cut the bumper, there is only about an inch or two on each side of the plastic that says "CAMARO" or "SS" that allows air to hit the FMIC.
The fans would be a good way of drawing air through it so you could keep the stock bumper as is.

if your intercooler gets that hot its probably not a very good intercooler.. time to step up.

i guess if you have space constraints you have to get creative... at that time i would switch to water.

Used a single 12 inch fan on my old lt1 car. Inlet side was hot, outlet side was felt ambient. Running two 10in fans on this setup. It works well and very worth it in my opinion.

Yea i might just have to try it! I guess that it kinda be a "piece of mind" thing. I have the dual undermount intercoolers and the car is lowered also.

I'd think that the intercooler fan is almost pointless now that he's on a methanol spray. I'd say ditch the IC fan and make the alternator a little more happy.

Corvette Guys running the TTiX kit have noticed good gains from putting Fans on thier intercoolers. Not all cars have the greatest amount of air flow available "naturally".

Alcohol injection is great and I use it myself, but most people like superchargers/turbos because they don't have to fill aux. fluids (like Nitrous bottles or alky tanks)...
