ATI Piping
Ever since I watched those rubber hoses going into the 'airbox' flex on my car during a dyno run, I've been wanting to replace them with stainless steel pipe. The idea of rubber hoses moving with all those metal corners touching them seems like a BAD setup to me. So I ordered some 2 1/2" SS mandrel bends, spent a day cutting them to fit, and had them tig-welded up. I still need to polish them again to make em purdy, but I thought some of you might enjoy the initial install pics.

very nice, now take it a step further and get rid of the crappy plenum design and do a Y to the TB and really see some nice improvments.
my buddy did this and throttle repsonse was night and day vs that plenum.

The stainless pipes do look a lot better.

Yeah, if I didn't show the car too, I'd rip a whole bunch of stuff out. But other than teh AC comp & cond that don't fit anymore, it's just like it rolled out of the factory. Well, I have added a few pounds.....but they all made it faster!

I finally got the tubes polsihed & installed. My wife said "that's how it should have looked", so I feel good about the choice. I still need to install the new plenum but I think it's going to look pretty good for my car show in March. I finally feel good enough about how it looks to enter it into the Seattle Roadster Show that Todd2001SS won 2 years ago. Wish me luck.....
