It is the Nova on our website. It ran 9.25@149 on Dragweek(some race fuel) and the 9.6X@146(Rockett brand 93) at the pump gas drags in Memphis last year.
The engine is our boost ready crate engine.

How would having a transbrake make it not a true street car? I have a trans brake and it doesn't affect drivability at all.

Maybe, but not everyones cars are setup purely for drag racing, with automatic transmissions etc

ET's are 90% about traction, which can often bare little resemblance to how a car can perform on the road, or race track.. Trap speeds are more down to power, and IMO a better indicator of overall performance ability.

If I could knock over 0.4sec off my 60 ft to hit a 1.34, I'd be well impresssed at my overall ET !!!!!

I'd prolly only lose .4 of et if I put your mustang in my trunk and hauled it down the track since i am already at 384# raceweight. But I wish it did et to match the mph...just wont make the sacrifices necessary

i can almost garentee it. im very confident in that. goin to the track was a last minute decision when i ran those times. the car wasnt even close to ready...... ive had it like night (track) and day, and the car still wasnt even close to solid last year. this year will tell the tale

All the transbrakes that I found are full-manual. That, my friends, affects quite alot on the street. If you know where there is a trans-brake that leaves the tranny fully-auto, then please point me in the direction!

Any of the old lamb style air trans brakes, they use just a brake drum on the diveshaft pretty much.

Might be kind of hard to find one these days but there was one laying in my garage for 20 years before I tossed it out - it was on a TH400.

150 mph in the quarter with a T76GTS on pump gas in a heavy car would be exceptional. I'd be very careful about claiming 150 just because you went 141 "not ready". There's a very, very big difference between 141 and 150 (like 200 hp) and I don't think anyone has gone that fast yet under similar constraints, not to mention the T76GTS is getting very close to it's limit at those traps.

I've considered going with some Hawk or EBC pads to try to get more boost on the foot-brake, or even converting to '98-'02 brakes because those guys don't seem to have trouble building 5 psi on the line, when I'm stuck around 5" vacuum before overpowering the brakes. Then it occurs to me - last time I went to the track, I ran 9.92 on the first pass off the trailer and I was kicked out for not having a full cage, license, neck brace, or fire suit. Again, since it's a true street car, I'm not planning on installing a full cage, so there's not much point in going faster if all I get is one pass.

well you can run two line locks.. for front and rear brakes.. I've seen that done before... works great. and they also have transbraks on some 4L60s and 4L80s

rossler t-brake for 4l80/4l60 leaves tranny fully automoatic. Dunno if an EZ stage would work in your application. Ls1 brakes suck imho...i got hawk pads...even converted to hydroboost for a bit but none of that helped.

A line-lock doesn't actually increase braking power though. It just holds the pressure you made with the brake pedal.

Yep, they make fully auto trans-brakes for the 4L80E, 4L60E, AOD, even the TH200r4, but not for the TH350 that I've been able to find.

You know, I never thought about it that way. I don't like when the trans shifts automatically though, I actually prefer to shift it. I guess it's a carry over from my 6spd days.
