Default How often do you drive your FI car?

Been curious as to what members drive their cars a lot, and which ones put a few miles a year on theirs. Take the poll and then answer the following...

1.) How many miles do you put on your car per month? (same as poll)

2.) How many days a week roughly do you drive it?

3.) Type of car

4.) Which Engine

5.) Which FI kit

6.) What Transmission

7.) What type of driving you mainly do with the car.. (basic street/highway/track only/everyday driver)

8.) How many miles per year roughly do you put on your FI car?

9.) How often do you "get on it"? (times per month roughly)

10.) How much rwhp does your car have?

Thanks

I drive mine everyday. Its a 100 percent street/daily driven car. I only get on it when I have a chance of losing. I do not waste any time with posers.

Work out of the truck on a daily basis. Forged 347, 4l80e, STS. Put about 35k a year on it. Have not had it on the dyno, but according to trap speed and weight it is putting down right at 600 rwhp.

I used to drive mine daily, when it had a stock motor and a T56.

Now it's rarely driven (partially because its not done yet)
Since install of the TH400 and suspension its been driven 4 times, 5 mile trips each.

Once Im done and the tune is dialed in I will drive it more for sure. At least twice a week to the local cruise-in spots, once a month to the local car show, and 1 trip per week to the track. Although the track trip is a 45minute drive so it'll be getting there on the trailer.

Cant be bothered filling in the blanks. But if my car is in once piece, and not being worked on, I drive it as often as I can. Usually out for a run every weekend, and maybe the odd time during the week.

Drive it in the summer months, 97 camaro, 386ci, vortech ysi, 6 spd, street/highway, last year maybe 2000 miles, 580 rwtq & 540 rwhp @ 4900 rpms. I would drive more but still working on some problems.

I like this question! I'm also curious as to what fuel these guys are using that drive theirs 500 -1000 miles. At 100 octane it's to damn expensive!

i think most FI guys on here actually run 93 alone or 93 plus meth. I think most on here that run 100+ octane are track only cars, but just my observation. Keep em coming guys! Would also like to know roughly how many miles per year your putting on them! Thanks!

You wanna try regular pump fuel here !!!!! Now that is EXPENSIVE !!!!!!

Its all I run, and all I'll ever run. I see no need for race fuel, at least not at my level so far.

I dont drive it as much cause she's a pig on gas but i've been driving her lately up to about 250 miles a week. its just nice to fire her up after a shitty day and to hear the burst of the exhaust come alive and that cam chopping and supercharger whining , then i go for a spin and lay into the converter slips right up to the sweet spot and boost comes in and it just scoots you back in the seat. oh happy days..

my car is all detailed out right now dont wanna get her dirty but i do want to take her to the track and get my new numbers.

Let's see...1/4 mile at a time; 6-8 runs each on Saturday and Sunday, 2-3 weekends a month . Not many miles. Maybe 4-6 miles a week I do get 4 gallons to a mile. At $5.25 a gallon for 114. I also take it on cruise night a couple of times a month. From the shop to the meeting place, about 5 miles each way. I do get better gas mileage about 5-7 m/gal. (I know "smart-***" )

As you can see not much of a daily driver. Now with the new 9" on the way, I doubt it will improve the gas mileage. Besides, today was the highest in almost 2 weeks: 16* and snowing.

David

Around a 100 miles a week..... 12 miles a day latley.... it was 25 miles a day all summer....
All over on Sat.....40-60 miles that day and she sits on Sundays...
Pump 93 everyday....... not sure on the milage...... every 3 days i add about 1/2 tank.... 7 gallons...... so i guess around 5.5 MPG
She really gets quite a bit better milage on the freeway.....
