While both are very good decisions there always comes a point that it's just smarter to trailer your car because there's bound to be something that's going to break.... Honestly, if you're not force inducted yet I would go to a D1SC first and then jump to a F1A because you're going to break enough stuff with the D1 and you're definitely going to have to learn how to drive that bad boy... Either way will be a good decision...Just have fun and start saving that chedda...

This isn't going to help much I know, but it is all personal preference, do you prefer the wine of a sc, or an obnoxious blow off?

IMHO, both are great choices. But having owned both sc'd and tc'd cars, I would never go sc'd again if I had the choice. And I would never go roots blown period, something about have a giant heat sink on top of the engine just doesn't do it for me. The Procharger won't have that problem though!

I would go turbo but that is just my opinion. Both are a great way to make power. It is just personal preference is all.

Also depends on the budget. Either one with spending the $ in the motor to handle the power will cost you a good $10,000+ just for the motor, fuel setup, tune ect. You figure another $5,000 for the Supercharger, or another $7500-$9000 for the turbo kit depending on what you go with. (Pricing is always dependant on the quality of parts you use. These figures are averages. Personally, I always put the best parts in mine).

Either way cost is almost always what stops people from going this expensive and fun route. Some may figure it costs less, but find out the hard way after starting their motor builds, and buying the parts.

If cost is no object (you are lucky), then personally, turbos are better for both a street car and a track car IMO. If I had enough extra $ when I built my motor for my D1, I would have just spent extra and went with a Turbo. But as it was I spent a total of around $16,000 all said and done, and I didn't have that extra amount needed to go turbo.
