Rob do you get any oil in the blower inlet when it vents? and where did you get the check valve?

The check valve is from McMaster Carr.

I think I got part # 7775K53, but look around in there for exactly what you need. You can get barbed fittings/adaptors from Lowes or Home Depot (or anywhere that carries hydraulic fittings).

There is a little oil residue on the plastic inside the blower inlet hat but the hose runs all the way from the driver side valve cover and makes a dip and comes into the bottom of the inlet hat so there's not that much oil in the inlet hat. The PCV system flows more air than this inlet line when not in boost so most of the junk is caught in the catch can.

Thanks for the help! I Appreciate it!

I'm new to this supercharger stuff, so could you Please tell me what you mean by the "blower hat?"

Thanks!

Its the plastic hat that attaches to the inlet on the blower from the air filter

Thats the one !!

Its a simple but effective vent to atmos only. As I said that thread, I dont personally beleive that most actual PCV systems do indeed pull a lot of vacuum in the crankcase at idle etc anyway.

This way ensures no oil vapour will ever contaminate the intake charge....ever.

And equally important, it re-circulates any collected oil, back into the oilpan.

I'm sure that diagram/system works fine but I prefer to gather the mess in the catch can instead of drain it back into the oil pan (to burn off in the oil). It would be nice not to have to watch/clean the catch can though.

As long as it's not going into the intake it's accomplishing its goal so there are a lot of ways to do it.

mess ? you mean oil vapour ?

Id rather have an oil pan full of oil, than one that continually drains itself out the breathers.
This is a tried and tested breather system used in many forms of motorsport here in the UK, and no doubt around the world.

You are deleting the PCV system all together tho. If there was no need for PCV, then why would GM or any other automaker put one there in the first place? It would be much cheaper for them to just put a breather on like you have done.

The check valve prevents boosting the crankcase via the PCV.

I also have the hose from the driver valve cover to the blower inlet hat so any crankcase pressure is vented when under boost.

10 seconds, and I type slow.

Rob I just have a filter on the inlet side of my Turbo?? Where should I run the Driver side Valve cover hose to??? Please email at charlesnscott1986@gmail.com
