Question turbo, or blower? prep work? any help?

as you might have guessed, i'm asking the age old question: turbo or blower? but that's not my only problem. i've heard that LS motors are too high compression to boost at all without prep work, and my motor is also stock, 73k miles. i would prefer a turbo but i've heard they're too high maintenance and too complicated (namely the boost controller). and what does each setup do to mileage, if anything at all, when not WOT? there's just too many factors out there and i'm too new to F-bodies to know all of the details of forced induction applications, and i'm wondering if a straight-up motor build or a motor swap would be a better idea, still keeping in mind streetability. any help appreciated.

Well I'm going to save you MANY thrashings today and tell you to search a bit...There have been MANY MANY MANY threads started on this... NO the LS1 isn't too high of compression to Boost but like I said, do some searching...As the old saying goes, "You can give a man a fish and feed him for a day...But make him Search through Tech and he'll be busy for days"... Or something like that.... If you get done and have specific question please feel free to ask but the best way is to formulate questions of your own and try to answer them yourself... When you're able to answer these questions you will begin to UNDERSTAND why things work... We've all HAD to do this...It's like would you want someone else to tell you what is good or figure out what is good because of being educated on something??? And then also knowing the difference of the two...Well I hope this has given you some food for thought =)

Semper Fi and have a nice day
(You won't hear me say that too much so there you go)
Chris

The Marine Corps is small but there's still enough that we can meet someone new everyday for the rest of our lives and not know every one of them..... =) There's always a chance though...

The reason why I say search is because these questions have been asked routinely on a weekly basis and all you have to really do is search...You can find probably 20 different threads in this way in the past year.. Shoot even on this page alone there is a bounty of information just waiting to be soaked up...
