i am about to have to rebuildmy motor....i WAS going to build a 383 but i have been talking to a friend of mine who has about 10k invested n his motor, and he said i should go the supercharger route!! i have an oppurtinuty to buy a procharger kit for $1000!!!! cant resist...but i am wondering if i need to just build the bottom end back stock or put anything better in it? will the stock bottom end hold fine? i already know i will need another cam becouse i am runnin a thunder racing 224/224!!! all suggestions welcome and appreciated!!! thanks guys

I'd add better rods and pistons to you engine, and use ARP head studs. This is what we did for this Corvette C5, and it is making good power with an ATI ProCharger D-1SC.

Planning on this route myself. Just get a forged 383 rotating assembly use your block and decent flowing heads and a DISC. This is my plan later this year.....

what is the best pistons and rods to go with? becouse that is what i was thinking about doing !!
