Default Dropped the car off at Turbo Technology Inc.!

Well, George and the guys at TTi called and said that room opened up in the shop for the Camaro. So yesterday I hauled it down for the new system install.

The new system is going to be a modified TTi Race kit that will use a air-to-air intercooler and run the all of the exhaust piping over the K-member.

Should be ALOTof FUN!

Hopefully Nick and George will pop in here and post up some of the progress or pictures of the kits install.

good luck guys. i will be watching closely.

sunday i gave up putting my passenger side above the k, this dang 4l80e pan sits lower than it now anyway

the angle of that side comming into the turbo flange will be interesting, and the passenger header will have to be shortened considerably to do the 180 back up to the outside of the motor mount.. and i suspect something will have to be done to the steering rack boot to keep it from melting

if my intake tube has not shipped out by the time your car comes apart, i would like to know how it fits in there.

stick with it, i was able to build a system that puts a 3.5 inch DP, a foward facing header, and all that jazz over a stock k member.

little off topic ..but i remember about 3 or 4 years ago on ls1.com you hammered me pretty bad about wanting to build my own kit lol. I forgive you.

3-4 years ago? i dont remember yesterday. did you actually build it 3-4 years ago and is it still the way it was originally? otherwise you may still support whatever point i made back then

I hope so. The Turbo has not shown up from Turbonetics yet. That'll be the key to it all coming together.

The Fuel system is ready, Although I am still waiting on the 86lb injectors to get here from Racetronix.

I need to get my Denny's driveshaft sent back to get shortened for the 4L60/9".

Then before I really take it out to the track to see what it'll run I need to get the cage installed. I will take it out and clip off a few 10.000s if racing season starts before thats done.

I let Turbo Technology pick out the Turbo, Its a Turbonetics unit. I'll let TTi put up the details on it. I know its a dual ball bearing center section and it has an exhaust AR of 1.01.
