Your not kidding by it getting out of control. At the end of the season I was barely staying in the top ten going mid 8's. It's going to be even faster this season. But don't give up. I was never the fastest car out there and still won the championship.
The M/T 325/50 will be plenty of tire for you. That was the most popular tire in the class. Your problem will be keeping it off the bumper.

We're noticing that the drag radial cars are now in the low 8's and have speeds in the 170s to 180's.

Its crazy.

YUP the radials work on the TB, you just have to tune the suspension and how you bring in the power. my junk box went 1.37 60' on them.

Slightly off Topic but what do we have to do to our F-body's to get the 325/50/15 to fit???
Thinking about some bogarts with a MT drag radial on a 650-700RWHP Street car.

Any thoughts

cut off bump stop

beat inner fender well with a big fucken hammer

get a 15 x 10 rim with 7.5 in backspacing.

that's it.

get a panhard bar to center rear end.

or you can get a narrowed rear.

Thinking of doing a 26 tall tire setup with my Gearing and RPM shift, I just don't know if it will have enough sidewall and hook??

He was one of the fastest cars out there. But hit or miss. I believe he ran a low 8 or high 7 in qualifying. But has trouble building boost on the line. I knew I had to get in first and not give him time. I was just on the 2-step to long and the boost krept up higher than what I usually launch at.
