Underhood Temps. Is there a Fix?

Underhood Temps. Is there a Fix? My underhood temps are really hotttttttt...
What kinds of things can I do to solve this?
Coatings -What type
Turbo Blanket- where to get it
Wrap DP- heard that was bad
Other tips.
Or I was thinking a ricer vent where the turbo is
Or just cut and mold a cowl on my hood
Tips ideas etc.

Use a coating on the hot parts. Wrap the turbo if needed- I heard this decreased bearing life in the turbine....may be true, may not be.
And a vented hood never hurt anyone either. The more airflow in the engine compartment, the lower the temps.

This is another awsome reason that people cut the front of the bumpers on the TA's..... get the cooler air in there.... I would notice a 20 degree rise in engine temp back when i had my blower in the car and the cover over my front license plate hole....
I agree with the fans on sooner and watter wetter. All of my hot-piping is coated also....

Ditch your AC and throw some really serious fans on front of the radiator. I was marginal in stop and go traffic on warm/hot days, and now it's 180 flat all the time. I realized that I'd never turn the AC on anyway with the car running as hot as it was.

coat and wrap (if you can) all hot parts in the engine bay.
get or have made a vented hood (dont forget you have to ge thte hot air out the engine bay to!)
if its effecting engine temps then think about a bigger/better rad.
bigger rad fans (butn thats not going to sort the problem out on make it go away for a little while)
lower temp sat.
bigger water pump
BIG oil cooler mounted out the eengine compartment (maybe laid flat towards the rear with a fan mounted above it???)
apprt form that im not sure!
have you checked everyhting to make sure somethings not causing higher than normal temps????

T-Stat, water wetter, and a turbo blanket... I've never had some of the problems you guys are mentioning... I've run my A/C in 90+ degrees F and 90% humdity, and I have not gone over 195ish, ever not even in traffic... Only after an hour or so in traffic do my underhood temps affect my alternator... But not since going with a HD LS1 alternator from Afterthoughtsauto. I have nothing vented or wrapped.
I have decided recently to go with an oil cooler... With my old T-70, I would lose oil pressure after rowing through the gears a couple of times... I don't want that happening with a hungrier T-76... Definitely a good idea.
