Well the GEN 7 DFI I bought showed up today. I am gonna call Accel tomarrow and have them send me a PRO key and USB cable so I can run it on the new laptop. I guess I will use it until AEM releases their plug and play unit. The the factory gauges and wiring harness will go back in. I have soem work to do over my next couple days off. Yey me...

Well today is my lucky Day. My dad bought me a complete FAST XFI setup with the new FAST XIM ignition controller. No EDIST for me. The GEN 7 is going to sit on the shelf for a while until Dad decides to sell it or use it on his BB 72 Chevy truck.

I have owned three systems over the last five years:
Australian system (I can't remember the name lol, used factory 02's)
FAST (with eDist)
BS3

I reccomend the BS3.

Fireball I heard that 160's are even a bit hard to cal with BS3, I think it's going to be very hard to get them to idle with a stock pcm. Mike Brown has been one of the few guys to run 160's, and I recall him saying that the plugs would foul out pretty quick... But he was cruising his CE here and there... Keep us posted.

No doubt, it was unexpected for sure. I have been on the phone with the Techs at FAST all day. The new XIM ignition controller completley eliminated all the ignition woe's that came with the Edist. Its a completely plug and paly setup. I cant wait to get it on the car.

I'll be race-only so maybe it won't be a major issue (or just idle at 1500 rpm )

Hehe that's what I was thinking. I'm running 96's and my base fuel pressure is pretty low like an LT1.
