I miss the sound of my V8's, my GN is built but for 650rwhp I have to run 25PSI. LSx I can make that with less cylinder pressure. I also hate the sound of the V6 but Im not complaing there. Just looking at ways to make more power on less boost and get my favorite sound back.
Im not decided on doing it yet or not, but I could sell my long block and a few other parts and have enough to get a LSx long block. But then theres the other swap parts needed to go into a G Body.
Anotehr thing is parts availability, many more parts for the LSx, although there is alot for the turbo 6 too. To make the power I want now, Id have to go to a Stage II Buick and the cost to build that is anywhere from $15-$20K.

well when i had GMRSpeed up and running we sold 800rwhp set up for 17000 which included 6.0 motor twin turbo kit fuel system and labor... soo knock off labor which I think was about 2000 and there ya go.. now depending on what deals you can find you may be able to knock a bit more off

I think the longblock with timing chain, cam, heads, shortblock, SFI balancer, ARP head studs, main studs, forged pistons. forged rods will be north of $7,000.

I'd seriously consider going SBC. It has more head bolts and is even cheaper than the LSx, and you wanna talk about parts availability........
