On mine, the turbo is extreamly loud. My buddy was able to hear it clearly when he was two cars ahead of me and we were just driving through town (not even boosting it).

ported compressor housing or not? I'm running a non ported T76 with truck manifolds and its very quiet, turbo whine is almost non existant.

When I was running a GT42 with a ported compressor housing, but other wise identical set up, the turbo whine was insane even from a take off.

The exhaust with a Dynomax bullet will be kinda loud. I don't think it you will hear the turbo at idle that much. I have a GT47-88 with a 4" dp and bullet and I think it sounds like a cammin' dump truck at idle.

With the WG dumping to atmosphere, you'll hear a sound like rushing water coming from the front of the car when you hit the WG's spring limits or where you have your BC set at.....PSSSHHHHHHH!!!+turbo whine. If its routed back into the DP all you'll hear is the turbo whine.

i have a T-76 Q-trim and haven't finished my exhaust yet. Driving it around town, not even in boost, the turbo whine is so loud that it seriously completes with exhaust sound through the open downpipe. It's the furthest thing from a sleeper...

I think a lot of it depends on the turbo and air filter setup (my filter is nothing but a race screen).
