How do we define lag?

My definition of lag is when I am at a dead stop, and stomp on the gas, the tires do not spin.

With a 350ci engine or larger, their is no lag...hehe. Drive a 2JZ with a big turbo...then you can say lag.

Really, so a 88mm + 8:1 346ci should not lag?

Frankly, I think you'd be crazy not to. In fact, I'd say 88 mm MINIMUM. Also, there is a big difference from the S88 and the PT-88. S88 is way better.

John it all depends on what you consider lag. Drive a Supra and you would think your driving a big block when driving an LS1 with even a thumper. 300rwhp off boost is no slouch. My car even with no boost will still get down pretty good...

Correct, and S88 is comparable in power to a GT47-88, but the size of the smaller GT42.
