Default Turbo or Nitrous

Just wondering which one you guy think is safer and easier on the block?

Power when you want and need it...not just when the bottle is full.
With a safe tune, turbo's can be extremely safe to your block. Nitrous...not so much. If I'm not mistaken, there is no way to adjust your tune for when the N2O kicks in...maybe SD, but not the MAF. On the turbo, since it's always there, it's not hard to tune for.

I went turbo because it is always there. Nitrous is cheaper to start, until you grenade your engine.

I'm wondering what would happen if you posted this poll in the nitrous section.

hehe

I think my DFI has a feature for adjustment when the NO2 comes on i'm turbo so don't use it/mess with it at all.

Turbo FTW

My vote is for heads/cam/forged pistons and spray. Cheap and none of the maintenance issues

If you post a "turbo versus nitrous" poll in the Forced Induction board, turbo is going to win. duh.

you can tune a dry shot that goes before the maf for afr and timing. after the maf, you tune your afr with nitrous and fuel jets on a wet shot. and wet shot can use a timing tuner too. i don't know much about wet kits, but some of you might want to check out the nitrous section for more info and what nitrous actually does. maintenance on nitrous is keeping your bottles filled.

100-150 shots seem to be the norm for lsx motors. "these motors love nitrous" is the consensus in the nitrous section.

I just voted for turbo because it's always there and no bottles to fill. But it seems that N2O is pretty safe when tuned right and not used in excess

It all boils down to how big is your wallet. If you want a turbo, plan on at least $10k, if not very much more. N2O is cheap and works.

dude ur so wrong..nitrous isnt flammable from the bottle. Why do you think it says no flammable on the bottle? You think people would drive around knowing if someone rear ended them, they'd blow up? IT's only flammable when it does its trick in your motor. Not in the bottle.

i'm pretty sure that guy is joking... i gotta good LOL out of it...

if your decision on modding your car comes down to the fact that people are shooting at it, i wouldn't really be worried about my motor...
