coolant recovery

i forgot about this while i was building the new car, and just have a 2 quart reservoir ahead of the right front.

has anyone moved their overflow to the back of the car or run a line out to the back of the car so no matter what the coolant can never get in front of the tires etc?

kurt what was the really complex set up on casper doing? anybody else getting fancy with this?

any other comments?

You pressurizing the coolant system????? Pushing a Lil water??

I pushed a lil on my last pass... maybe a QT or a lil less...... was on the hood a lil.....

That a good idea putting it out back.....

You gunna start a thread about your latest track outing???

yea i guess it was wishful thinking that that would go away when putting the engine in a different car, ahh well.

im gonna post it when Frost gives it up (video)

Why is this the only thing that happens when lifting a head? Why doesn't water get in the oil, or vice versa?

Or at least it's all I ever hear about happening.

Thats part of the reason im looking at the LSX Block and piecing one togeather.

Ill wait a lil bit and see what it does with other peoples set-ups...

i imagine exhaust goes everywhere, but into the coolant system is the only place it really causes a headache

We always run the catch can in the back of the car so if fluid comes out its behind the tires. We run the overflow from the catch can into the water tank for the intercooler if you have one in the back.
