Is there a rule of thumb on how much shorter of a belt you should use when reducing the diameter of your head unit pulley?
Example: K061115 used with 4.0 pulley...change to a 3.90...belt length?
I assume that each 0.10 decrease in pulley diameter would equate to x amount of decrease in belt length...correct?
Also, is there a rule of thumb on boost increase per 0.10 decrease in pulley diameter as well?
Thanks!

I don't know of a rule of thumb, but I went from a 4" to a 3.9" on my gto, they sent me another belt with the pulley. Both of the belts fit well, but the one for the 4 inch pulley has more wrap, so I use that one.
On boost, I went from 4" pulley at 6psi to a 3.90" pulley at 8psi. can't guarantee the same numbers for you, that's what i got.

calculation would be as follows:
3.1416 * the difference in pulley size * the % of wrap around the pulley.
For example: .2" x 3.1416 * .5 (if belt wraps 1/2 way around the pulley) is .3" The main issue is wheather the tensioner has enough adjustment to make up for the difference. Generally the shorter the better.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all of the input...
good info from ProCharger...thought I'd share it...
I run a Gates K061115 now w/ the 4.0
I found a rediculously good deal on a Goodyear Gatorback 4061112 that should be delivered tomorrow and was wondering if it would work w/ the 3.90 RR I have waiting to be installed?

should a belt that is .30 shorter work w/ a pulley that is .10 smaller in diameter, using the stock tenisoner?
OR...is that small of a change in diameter not enough to concern myself w/ a different length belt?
Thanks guys!

PART NUMBER 4061112
4061115
METRIC Part NO. 6PK2825
6PK2830
NO RIBS 6

EFFECTIVE LENGTH 111.25
111.5
OUTSIDE LENGTH 112
112.25
these measurements are from Goodyear website...if I could get by with the K061115 as stated by Andereck...this belt should work fine...at only 1/4" shorter...
