The point of this thread is that in the Corvette which has a basically stock longblock, the owner picked up 92rwhp from a cam change. The specs on this cam are mild 210 intake duration with quite a spread to jumping 20* to 230 on the exhaust side. Although the lift is not much with the 1.7 ratio rockers, I believe and someone correct be if I am wrong, the LS7 uses 1.8 rockers on both intake and exhaust bringing valve lift to almost 600. Worth mentioning also is the 120.5 LSA. I have always associated these bigger LSA #'s with fuel mileage and emmisions compliance, not with higher revving(7000K) 427cid motors. Compared to conventional "blower cams"(in my sig) I believe this LS7 cam does fits the profiles, although much exagerated compared to what is generally expected. Whether "custom blower cam" or "off the shelf tuner designed blower cam", such as the LPE cam mentioned earlier in this post, the specs of this cam do deserve mention. I believe in time we will see a shift in design parameters from some cam designers using this cam as a "starting point" to use as reference to further extract more power from blown motors. I spoke with Andy at A&A Corvette, he told me he was impressed with the "Stellar Results" of this swap and planned to do a "custom grind" somewhat based on the LS7 cam. Happy Motoring.

Any updates on this? Who's got a good price on them, what about that newer LS7 based grind, and hows the idle?

Good for a turbo car? (rear mount)

Well, I'll be doing a P1SC (purely street) on my Z this Summer. It's racing days are over. Cam I'll be using is a XE 210/224 .555/.568 115+1 LSA
This is on a 370 forged with 72cc Patriot blower heads.
target 450>500 rwhp civilized cruiser. (sort of speaking )

The LS7 VEs are very nice for stealthy SC applications.
