Default lifting heads

How much boost can you run on Patroit head befor you should have trouble with heads lifiting? I am currently running 10 to 12psi. I have setup in sig and am currently having trouble with pushing water and leaking around heads. I have ARP 12 point headstuds tq to spec. Will the Patroit heads just not hold because not as thick of deck hickness or what do you all think? I am using the factory MLS 6.0 gasket.

Shouldn't at your power level, what kind of fuel and ignition advance. Detonation will lead to the heads lifting.

We run the Patriot heads at 16 psi of boost. This C5 is being run hard on a road course with Patriot Stage 2 heads at 740 rwhp. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=40 Bob

I have not dynoed the new setup with the Pt 88 according to the wideband everything looks good. Should I just retourqe the head studs? Maybe adding about 5 foot pounds?

I ran 18psi with 6.0 heads + A1 head studs when my car was running 9.4/143-144mph.

i lifted mine this weekend on 20+psi with 97 octane...BAD combo of octane vs boost....if you are lifting the heads at under 900rwhp, you got something else going on like too much timing....boost vs octane etc

anyone else think that the torque/HG might have somthing to do with it?

i have heard that it is best to go around torquing in increments of 5lbs, torque, then retorque at final ft/lbs.

I run mine all the time between 14-16 on pump gas and 20 on race gas....

I pushed a Lil bit of water on my last pass at the track... after 4 passes.... it was just a lil bit....
Nothing im worried about because ive been told by the people who done this before me that its going to happen sooner or later and i need to keep checking it and add water as needed........
If/When i blow a head gasket i plan on O-Ringing the heads....

Ill be pushing more then 20 psi next tiem out for sure......

My heads were Patriots to begin with but i had to have them gone thru... so there no longer Patriots....
