PC STS Pipes Im in the process of buying a STS kit, is it unheard of getting the pipes powder coated say black insted of the silver color. Would it have any adverse effects on the system?
I think the cold side pipes have an HTC coating which is supposed to promote heat transfer to help cool the intake charge. Powdercoating might keep more heat in the intake stream.
Powdercoating will transfer heat out of piping faster than an exhaust coating. but chances are your coater would coat over the previous coating unless it is chiping or flaking.
Are you talking about the Black powdercoating? Because HPC offers a black ceramic coating that is rated to 2000*F.. looks awesome. I have been down to HPC to help a friend pick up some manifolds that had this coating.

I already have the exhaust wrap for the hot side (black) but Im wanting to change the color of the pipes running from the turbo to the TB. I figured you would want that side to dissipate as much heat as possible.,
trtturbo do you know which of the ceramic coatings of HPC it is?
