Yeah Ed, let me know how that bigger filter fits, I may get one too.

I also have a smaller K&N filter on the bottom of the inlet hat where the BPV return goes (and vented the BPV to atmosphere). If you want I can get you the part number.

The one you have is the one we ere using when I sent it to you. We just very recently got the ones in that have a 3.5" inlet. The one you have works great if you use 4.00" tubing for the inlet. Bob

what are the dimensions of 3.5" ICs and how much fabbing do they require to fit? Just wondering if I need to remove the bottom plastic cover under the bumper

Here's a pic with the 9" filter. It fit no problem.

As usual, Bob is the man. When I ordered from their web site. It didn't add shipping. Diane tried to reach me my phone but couldn't. Bob knew I would want the order shipped and ate the shipping cost to make sure it went out.

Thanks Bob!!

The only mod I had to make when I installed a larger round in place of the cone filter above the inner cooler was cutting off an unused corner of the bracket for the....um....whatever that box is under there....I forget now. Cruise control module?

And I want a pair of those 4.5s.....

It does push out slightly on the side front bumper. Not enough for me to take it out. Maybe a 1/4" or so. I noticed last night.

I did gain at least a 1lb of boost. Well worth changing it over!!!

I didn't think the extra inch would help that much. If I can get close to 700 rwhp with the twins, I would be happy.
I covered 700rwhp on the 4.5" intercoolers no problem. I think I can get it to 950rwhp on race gas too.

how do the twin 4.5" intercoolers compare to a traditional 3 or 4" FMIC as far as efficiency and flow

Thanks for the info!

Still interested but I wish it didn't cost so much. I have a hard time justifying the cost compared to the FMIC kit.

I'll be installing the filter tomorrow
