Going With A Procharger
In summary, difference between the P-1 and D-1. yes the D flows more thats a given but shoot some hp numbers out there. What is a "safe" level of boost to throw at the vehicle and does the D-1 exceed that to the point where the P-1 would be a better choice?
*I hope I haven't hijacked the thread only attempted to furthur the knowledge of myself and the original poster.*
Many years ago we put a D-1SC on my '99 z28 when the engine had 110,000 miles on it. Here is a link to it.

Don't waste your $$ with a P1SC. Get a D1 from the start and you will have some room to grow (which you will want after a little bit). My P1SC is all but maxed out now. If I had bought my kit new I would have got a D1 in a heartbeat. Its only like $200 upgrade up front. If you change your mind later, it will cost you over $1300 and down time. Do it right the first time and get the D-1SC 8 rib kit from Bob and never look back.
