Default My DIY install is almost done

I have one of those S80 units , T6 flange , 48 Progate, Tial 50mm BOV , 6.0 Truck manifolds, DART 225'S and Cam done by Bret Bauer . Fast 90/90mm Nick Wiliams.
TWIN Aeromotive A1000'S pumps twin -10 to single-8
Fast Rails, Only 60lb injectors for now, probably will need bigger.
I think I am going to run a MAF in front of the turbo ....any thoughts on this?
I also have 5" to 4" open down pipe and open wastegate, should sound wicked.

Turbo 400 with brake, 4k stall, Moser 9" with 3.50's and all UMI rear suspension set up . Dynotech Chromoly driveshaft 1350 joints

This car previously was a cam only car , it 60fted very good and ran 11.70's all day at 117 .

My goal now is to crack 9's with it . I will try the Micket T drag radials but I am not sure if they will work .
I dont plan to make big RWHP but with a light car , and a car that 60's good I think I might get close.

Here is a pic, I will have more as soon as I finish it up .

actually no , arp rod bolts and head studs otherwise stock . I want to see what I can do with it . I have a 402 ls2 in another one of my cars that might be used in this if and when it blows.

I wouldn't even bother with the MAF on that setup. What PCM are you using, stock, standalone?

stock PCM , I was going to put one(MAF) in front of the turbo . But I dont think it will work out good.
I have been thinking of using a BS3 .

I say either put the MAF where its supposed to be (after turbo near TB) or ditch it and use an SD solution (custom tune w/ stock PCM, BS3, etc.)

love the build! That last pic the car seems to be smiling!

Anyways, the maf might prove to be a hassle when tunning. You can do a SD setup with either hptuners or some similar. However, a bs3 will give you a nice variety of tuning options..

good luck!

do you guys think a BS3 is needed or just use the stock PCM and a SD tune?
My tuner wants me to use a BS3 , honestly I will end up putting a LSX block engine in this car and go for 8's .

If you're going to go that far you might as well invest in the BS3 now.

I was thinking the same thing, buying a air meter and making it fit right and tunning would get me half way there to a BS3 .
But 1500 or whatever they cost was not in my budget for this.
I wanted to have this running by the time I left for the Powr Tour in 1.5 weeks.

Oh well !!

If you want it done in 1.5 weeks then stick to the stock PCM, 60#'ers, and a good SD tune. Then come back if you need to and use BS3. Not that SD tunes with the stock PCM suck, but its a little easier to use BS3 w/ the target A/F and what-not.

Would that turbo/combo over-work 60lb injectors?

I think so. Isn't it a 900-1000hp turbo? I'm going from memory so I don't know exactly. Besides, with the right setup, its hard to have injectors "too-big" so why skimp? w/ BS3 or any number of converter boxes he can use some 96lb'ers or something.
