Paulz2820: whats up dude...good to see the ol' car running down the track again! and with some good numbers at that. looks like my motor is holding up pretty good? did you ever dyno N/A after tuning it? see if it'll push 1000fwhp that was gonna be my test . keep up the good work man let me know if you wanna sell the car back to me ever. see ya.
Whats up Pual? The car is always for sale for the right $$$. I can always build another one bigger and badder.

VTC_WS6: Outstanding numbers Josh! Can't wait to get my hands on my kit!
Should be soon Dave. It will be well worth the wait.

MonochromeSS: Once you get that thing to leave the line right it will be sick, like some other posters have said, possible 9 second car. 1.8 60', you can cut that with a stock ls1 with that stall and trans brake.
Yeah getting 60' down is key. I got my ProStars mounted and balanced. Not I have to gring the front and rear caplipers. YEAH ME. I need to figure out what spacer I need in the front to not have to grind the front calipers. I tried a buddies. He used them on his 98' with his ProStars with no problem. It rubbed big time on my car. I need to just order a aerospace brake setup front and rear, but I think the wife would kill me.

Heres a couple pics of the new shoes.

Pro Stars 15x10 7.5 BS & 15x3.5 With MT 325/50/15 DR's and MT 26x4.5 Front runners. I am sure I will need to step up from my 3.25 rear gears to a 3.50 gear. I am gonna see what it does with the 3.25's first though.

I started grinding on the passenger side rear caliper. I dont really like the idea but it is required. If anyone has a set of front and rear aerospace or strange drag brakes sed em my way. They are expensive new. I am looking for a deal . Until I can find a deal I will continue to grind and test fit and grind some more.

Oh I almost forgot. The QA1's are on the car. The front coil overs are a pain. I have adjusted them up, and up, and up some more. I am at 42 threads. I belive I need like 49 or 50 threads below the locking ring to get a 1 inch drop.

Bought a shop truck today. Got a 2004 Chevy 2500 4x4 with some nice mods done already. Bought it off the same lot my dad bought his now sold Z06 from. Dad is going to pick it up in Orlando FL for me this coming Friday. I cant wait.

2004 2500HD 4X4 RIDES ON 22 INCH RIMS WITH NEW NITTO 33 INCH TIRES. LQ9 6.0 CRATE MOTOR, PERFORMANCE CAM, ROLLER ROCKERS, K&N COLD AIR INTAKE, BASSANI HEADERS AND EXHAUST. LEATHER AND ICE COLD AC.

It will be nice to have a nice daily driver to pull the Z28 around with. I am upgrading my car to aerospace drag brakes all around and wont be driving it on the street as much anymore. I have some serious plans for the car. Now the hunt is on for a nice open trailor.

Might be able to work something out on that. I like flashy chrome wheels myself.

You are going into the 130's already without even leaning on it. That's mid-low 10-sec territory right there. 135 mph is knocking on the 9-sec door.

Bump the boost up a couple pounds, and leave HARD on the transbrake... All the ET is in the first 60 feet.
If you drop 4-tenths in your 60ft times, you can expect close to 8-tenths of improvement in your ET's.
In other words... An 11.00 pass with a 2.0 60ft time, should be capable of a 10.20 or so pass with a 1.60 60ft time... and I honestly believe that's about what your car is capable of at this point in your tune-up... Around 10.20's-10.30's with a good hard transbrake'd launch.

I launch my GN on the T-brake at 10-15lbs of boost and my 60ft's are in the mid-1.50's with the bone stock 3.8 V6.
I thought the exact same thing. its all in the launch, once you can build boost and actually launch that car is going to fly down the track. you 'should' be able to pull 1.4sec 60's with those tires, and using internet ricer math I'd calculate a very low 10sec pass. might even get in the nines.

get back to the track ASAP and launch the car so we can all see the results.

Yeah I need to. I have been busting my butt at the plant here latley. New job with long hours doesnt leave me much time to tend to my car. I have a twin turbo buildup in my shop that I put before my car. I am going to fit my car with aerospace brakes all around before heading back to the track. I dont like the idea of grinding on my calipers to make the wheels fit.

Below is a link to some updated pics of the car (click the picture) . The ZR1's are now sold and the car is resting back on jack stands in the shop. As said above it is being fitted for some aerosapce drag brakes to make the wheels and tires fit with out grinding and spacers and to help slow the car down at the top end of the 1/4. I am gonna make a few passes with 10lbs on the 325's then up the boost to 17lbs and see what happens. I have a 10pt cage waiting to be installed also.

It made 561/564 rwhp/rwtq on a **** tune and pump gas. I had it pig rich and 22 degrees of timming out of boost and 15 degrees in boost.

Here is the dyno graph:

I have since turned the timing up in the no boost regions and ramped it from 28 degrees at 0 boost to 15 degrees at 8lbs of boost. It feels alot stronger and the boost comes on sooner. I have not had time to get it back to the dyno yet. Its up on jack stands losing wait and getting some much needed brakes and other odds and ends.

Support Our Sponsor's....

I did. I just got off the phone with Buckhart Chassis. I ordered a set of front and rear AeroSpace drag brakes, Braided lines, and a manual brake kit. I will be ordering his front end setup as soon as the budget recovers.

I figured what the hell. I may as well make this car wicked to match my user name. Just an update.
