right, i like the eboost2...
however, the new blitz sequential boost controller is a nice piece. Has a dual soleniod setup where one is the main and the other supportes it for fine boost control. You can store four boost presets or more, and setup your boost level per gear. It's designed to maxmize your boost pressure so that you gain the most you can from every psi you add or sustain.
The colored unit is up there in price, however, the smaller, non-lcd dual is about 399.99
I think the colored is msrp'd around 600-700.00
imo, it worth looking into..
dont do a manual, it will only bring you gief and no sleep at night, trust me, i know. They can be maded to work but it is really not worth it when there are el. controllers that hold your boost more efficiently.

i have the Blitz SBC-ID on my truck. it is a very nice unit. easy to use and speed based boost control. cost lots of $$$$ though.
on the fairmont project we are using the megasquirt to control the boost. right now there is no speed based control but there is rpm and tps based charts. the squirt is just geting to be a better and better deal. it cost $40 for the parts to make the boost controler work and a little soldering. with the smallest spring in a tial 44mm we had control from 5psi up to 18psi. we steped up a couple of steps in springs and now have control from 9psi up to at least 21psi(80% duty cycle).
