I still use my stock coils with my current twin set-up. We've tried the MSD coils on a T/A supercharger build. They ended up costing a crap load of trouble. Went back to the stockers, runs like a champ.

'm still using my original 98 coils with the BS3 and -9 NGK plugs and zero misfires. You will be making more power then me but so far no issues at all with the stockers.

I go with the 'if it isnt broke dont fix it' theory, use what you have and if it doesnt work then go buy a set of truck coils - lot easier to change then a set of pistons ot something

thanks kp,but with the valve covers from abear i need to tell them which ones i will be running because the brackets are differnt and they have to machine them. they told me that the truck coils that would fit would be the older ones. so i was trying to make sure that they are the better ones......thanks for all the info

jmeister. If you have to make a decision today - right now - stay with the stock coils.

No reason to waste money. You'll need it some where else.

I wont speculate but, I have the new ones off a 2004 truck. They are Mitsubishi part # 12558693. The bracket is part # 12569188. The wires have a bar code on them that is #208059. The Delphi truck coils are inferior to these, I heard by someone on here whose opinion I respect.
