It's nice out today, 95 Degrees, 6% humidity, we are between 1800-3200' ASL (depending on where u are in the valley). The race track is 2100 ASL. Right NOW the DA is 5200' at LVMS and a stock LS1 will trap about 97-98 MPH on a day like today.

Maybe that will provide some insight to Vegas. A few years ago they use to give out "100MPH Club" stickers at the track for street nights when you trapped that fast, because it wasn't very common.

Sounds right to me. Dynojet numbers for 7psi in decent weather would be 450-475 with FMIC and T67. On a mustang that puts it around 390-400rwhp in rough weather.

it sounds like it sucks to have shitty DA because it just robbs you of any power at the track AND the dyno from what it seems

Numbers aint that bad. Your on a loaded dyno that's why the big difference. On a dyno jet I did 400 rwhp 465 rwtq at 5 p.s.i. I wanted to do it on mustang dyno but couldn't hook up with the guy in town to get it set up in time. But, have fun with the car and see what she does at the track. I know so far my best time was a 8.0 e.t., 1.8 60', 93 mph in the 1/8th. That was spinning like a bitch had a good launch my 3rd time and broke the 9" so...... did get to see what she did. But, keep us updated and tell us what she ran!!!!

How does the mustang dyno compare to the dynopack dyno both are load bearing dynos right? Did you do a fuel system on the car? I think that amount of power would max the stock system out with FI. I ran 440 and 502 ft lbs at 4400 rpm at 8psi boost then tapers down to 5 by redline but the hp curve just seems to flatten out or curve down slightly. You said the car feels fast, to me mine feels slow so who knows!

Its only shitty when comparing online. Its all relative down there. If you beat a new viper and the viper can only run high 12's in Vegas, the time doesnt matter... your still faster than a viper.

He has 42lb/hr injectors

I'm making around 740 RWHP going by the MPH/Weight calcs and running stock rails/lines, 2 intank walbros and 60lb/hr injectors. I still have more room to go to since I can bury the a/f on 18psi. I'm still returnless too.

vegas conditions just straight up suck 2100 altidude and 100-110 degree temps eat up hp like crazy im curious to see how my gt42-72 T6 347 ls1 with meth and FMIC does at 18psi once im done. Only thing i can think of to kill the vegas effect is nitrous right into the intake stream. it would densify the air and freeze it its also probably a major risk, but idk i might end up trying something like this. also use fans on the intercooler and spray the fmic with some water (squirt bottle) before u run the 1/4

LMAO, dude, you have no idea how slow a 600cc bike is here in vegas. It's rare that I see one trap over 120mph at the track. Yes, he was racing, yes he dropped gears (I even gave him the jump), and yes we pulled him good, he hung upto about 90 mph then it was all over. Bike guys always have such huge egos, even the 600cc guys, it's fun to crush them. 90% of the 600's are high 11 sec bikes, low 11's with a good rider. Welcome to summer in Vegas, the black hole vortex that sucks up your HP.
I have only ever seen 1 600 cc bike here in vegas break into the 10's (10.8 @ 124) and it was in cooler weather with an extremely good rider, the bike was also modded extensively (geared, strapped, lowered, full race pipe, tuned, etc). A 155 RWHP 03 GSXR 1000 was trapping 133-134 mph a few weeks ago.

I guess you wouldn't believe that I have at least 10 liter bike kills (GSXRs, CBRs, R1s) to my name. That's when I'm running 15psi and 91 octane, not my race tune and 18psi.

If you guys really want to pick on his 7psi dyno number, his uncorrected was something like 365 RWHP LOL
Im sure its not as hot in ohio as its in vegas, but i run consistant high tens on my R6 trapping 125 in the heat. best is a 10.77@127 (me at 185lbs in gear probably a 90° day)
to make a comparision when my Transam was at 512rwhp (dynoed on a mustange dyno) it would trap 126mph, which is about on average what my bike would trap. My bike in the worst heat here would trap 124 on a +100° (granted you are probably hotter in vegas) but either nobdy there knows how to ride bike over there or he was racing some old and slow 600cc.
I would say that guy's car would need to hit around 450rwhp on the Mustang dyno to trap close to what you say 600cc bikes trap (at 120mph)
the heat will do just as much mph damage to a car as a bike so it sounds fishy.

LOL..... 10's on a 600......in vegas, thats just funny, in the heat...thats hilarious. You might have a shot at it 1 to 4 track days a year, although your name better be Mr. Gadson.

76 rear mount stock short block 99 camaro = 10.20 @133
99 busa, 152 rwhp, lowered strapped and geared and ridden very very well= 9.9- 10.0's @135

acr viper = 12.89
lambo murc = 12.9
c5 zo6's= low 13's
c6 z06= 12.5s
c6 zo6, headers, cam, tune, tires= 11.75 in cool weather
600 cc bikes , = 11.70's most run low 12's 1 in 100 at 11.40 or better
gsxr 1000 = 10.50's with 135 lb riders @139

Many people that move to vegas from back east will bring a super gas car that ran at atco or englishtown....and turn it into a super street car here. Thats a 9.90 car turns into a 10.90 car.

Vegas and Bandimere run similar times.

Why do so many people not understand the effects of weather on vehicles?
I guess it's hard to believe that things are that slow here, but the examples 1320 posted are what is normal here. Everytime I make a post about a dyno number, track time or race I always end up having to explain how slow things are here to everyone who calls me a liar.

DING DING DING we have a winner

haha try being just across the border in utah... we have DA's upwards of 9000 feet here on hot nights.

600's usually run mid-low 12's
C5z06's usually run low 13's with a VERY rare 12 on perfect weather days
C6Z06 at the track last weekend ran 13.1 @ like 110 MPH or some crap.

altitude blows.... end of story..

and for reference.. i can pull 600 CC bikes NA with no problems at all.. i can pull new fuel injected liter bikes on a 150 hit
